Consequentialism
seeking to maximize positive consequences for the most number of people, and you should avoid producing pain or displeasure.
Deontology
an action is good if it follows moral rules/ commands
Is it legal?
Does it break any laws? which laws?
Most common are: bribery, defamation, hacking, intellectual property, theft
Is it ethical?
would you be okay with this behavior from an employee/ co-worker?
follow the golden rule: if you are not ok with whatever is happening to you that a pretty strong indication it is not ethical.
white hacking
uses hacking skills to find and fix security vulnerabilities in software.
corporate social responsibility(CSR)
organizations should take responsibility for the impact its actions have on all stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, community, environment.
supply chain sustainability
a component of CSR that focuses on the ability of a supply chain needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future.
5 reasons to practice CSR

what info can a person keep private and confidential, and not be forced to reveal to others?
accuracy
who is responsible for data accuracy?
who is accountable/ liable for accurate data?
what safeguards have been established to ensure accuracy?
property
who owns the information? who has the right to buy or acquire the info? how should access to intellectual property be regulated?

dishonest or fraudulent behavior especially by powerful people
skewed sample
occurs when training data doesn’t fairly represent all groups or situations

this happens when training data includes biased or incorrect information

this occurs when seemingly neutral information in the data is actually linked to sensitive topics(zip code correlates with race)
