Air Brake Test*

A
  1. Full air pressure, wheels chocked, engine off, parking brake release
  2. Static air leakage rate, pedal released (2 psi MAX. in 1 minute)
  3. Applied air leakage rate, pedal depressed (3 psi MAX. in 1 minute)
  4. Pump pedal with battery on until Low air buzzer sounds (55-75 psi)
  5. Keep pumping pedal until parking brake knob pops out (20-45psi)
  6. Start engine & run to governor cut-out pressure (130 psi max)
  7. Pump brake pedal to check cut-in pressure (85 psi minimum)
  8. Remove chocks; release parking brake, test service & parking brakes at 5 MPH
  9. Daily/Pre-Trip completed. File in binder & toss out reports older than one year
