What does Alternative Dispute Resolution mean?
A
A method of settling disputes that does not involve taking it to court

What are pre-action protocols?
A
Before a claim is issued there is a list of protocols that must be followed. If these are not followed this is when the party may be liable for certain costs if they make a court claim.

When is a claim taken to court?
A
If somebody refuses liability or refuses ADR.
