PRE STAND UP´s Flashcards
WARNING
Operation procedures, techniques, etc., which will result in personal injury or loss of life if not carefully followed.
CAUTION
Operation procedures, techniques, etc., which will result in damage to equipment if not carefully followed.
NOTE
An operating procedure, technique, etc., which it is considered essential to emphasize.
Land as soon as possible
Emergency conditions are urgent and require an immediate landing at the nearest airfield.
Land as soon as practical
Emergency conditions are less urgent and in the pilots judgement, the degree of emergency may be such that an immediate landing at the nearest airfield is not necessary.
OIL PRESSURE
Normal operating range: 60-85 PSI
Caution: 25-60 & 85-100 PSI
MAX 100 PSI
Min. for engine idling: 25 PSI
RPM
WARNING:
The engine must not be operated above 2700 RPM. Doing so will result in abnormal wear on bearings, counterweight rollers and other engine parts, concluding in possible engine failure.
However, since instances of inadvertent over speed do occur, it must be emphasized that reporting to the technician in charge is mandatory, if RPM exceed 2700 for more than 2 sec, or RPM exceed 2730 regardless of duration.
The maximum RPM and duration of over speed condition should be stated.
OIL TEMPERATURE
Normal operating range: 50-120 degrees
MAX: 120 degrees
CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE
Normal operating range: 105-225 degrees
Caution: 225-245 degrees
MAX: 245 degrees
MAX landing weight
1140 kg
Normal category
The aircraft is in normal category when the AUW is less than 1200kg and when CG is not behind 30% of MAC.
In this category the aircraft is limited to the following maneuvers:
1. Any maneuver used in normal flight
2. Stalls (except whip stall, hammer stall)
3. Lazy eights, chandelles, and steep turns with angle of bank not exceeding 60 degrees.
The limiting load factors “G” are 4.4 positive and 2.2 negative
Maximum people on board
NOTE:
Maximum number of persons on board may not exceed three or the number of seats equipped with safety harnesses.
The maximum permissible load in the rear compartment is either one person + 50kg or a total of 100kg luggage. Provided that the load is placed on a special cargo floorboard, the maximum load can be raised to 150kg.
UTILITY CATEGORY l
The aircraft is in utility category l when the AUW is less than 1125kg. and the CG is not behind 27,5 % of MAC.
In this category, the aircraft is limited to the following maneuvers:
- Any maneuver used in normal category
- Erect stall
- Spins
- Lazy eights, chandelles and step turns with angle of bank exceeding 60 degreees.
The limiting load factors “G” are 4,8 positive and 2,4 negative.
UTILITY CATEGORY ll
The aircraft is in utility category ll when the AUW is less than 1000kg and when CG is not behind 27,5 % of MAC.
In this category the aircraft is limited to the following maneuvers:
- Any maneuvers used in utility category l
- Rolling
- Looping
- Half roll (Split-S)
- Top roll (Immelmann)
The limiting load factors “G” are 5,4 positive and 2,7 negative.
AEROBATIC CATEGORY
The aircraft is in aerobatic category when the AUW is less than 900kg and when CG is not behind 27,5 % of MAC.
In this category the aircraft is limited to the same maneuvers in category l and ll.
The limiting load factors “G” are 6,0 positive and 3,0 negative.
