When to stop Warfarin prior to surgery?
What are they placed on?
5 days
LMWH
What happens to insulin / Diuretics + ACE + Hypoglycaemics prior to surgery
Avoid morning dose
When do you stop COCP?
How do you continue taking COCP?
4 weeks prior to Sx
2 weeks after Sx
ryanodine recptor?
autosomal dominant mutation in the ryanodine receptor 1, increasing calcium levels in the sarcoplasmic reticulum and increasing metabolic rate
==> malignant hyperthermia
==> dantrolene (ryanodine antagonist)
