Mechanism of action of NSAIDs?

A

Inhibit cyclo-oxygenase
Reduce prostaglandin production, therefore protective effect on stomach and kidneys lost.
Reduces thromboxane A2 and prostacyclin.
Inhibited inflammatory response
COX2 assoc thrombo- embolic effects
