Where did people live in Pre-industral Britain and why?
They lived in rural/countryside areas as cities were not yet built and their jobs were farm based and required a lot of attention
What was social life like?
There were two main classes, the upper class and the lower class. These classes caused a divide between the people of the 1780’s and how they lived
What did the lower class do with their time?
Most of their time they were working as they were farmers, farming needed a lot of attention so they had to work to keep their farms healthy and making money.ChristmasDay
What was life like for the poor?
What did this mean for the rich
Cruel was a very normal way of describing life of the poor as they worked long hard hours in horrible and dangerous conditions for a little amount of pay, because they do this the rich can live in luxury and not do any hard labour work
How educated were the lower class?
What did this mean for their free time and their working life
Most, if not all of the lower class had no form of education and were illiterate.
They had limited free time to play popular recreation as they were working long hours yearly on farms
what is a Feudal system?
A way of structuring society around a relationship derived from the holding of land in exchange for the service of labour.
What were Popular Recreations?
The sports and pastimes of people in pre-Industrial Britain.
