One way Hinduism differs from Abrahamic religions.
Abrahamic religions are monotheistic where as hindus are polytheistic but they do not all worship the same gods and goddesses.
Some worship Vishnu while other worship Shiva.
Which god do Shaivas believe in?
Shiva the destroyer
Which god do Vishnaivas believe in?
vishnu the preserver
Why does Ganesha have an elephant head?
Because Shiva got mad at Ganesha for guarding the door and cut off his head then replaced it to a dead elephants head

To stay peaceful and calm they believe that you can connect to Brahman.

A God who descends to earth as a human or other animal n order to fight evil and re-establish goodness

Brahman (creator)
Vishnu (preservers)
Shiva (destroyer)

Wisdom and divine power as Brahman is all of them
What does Vishnu holding a lotus represent ?
Great power, protector and purity
Explanation on why Hindus use symbols to represent their deities?
Hindu’s deities are shown by having several arms for example Vishnu has four arms to represent the four direction of the compass.Showing that Vishnu is the supreme ruler of the universe.
What does Vishnu’s mace(weapon) symbolise?
How Vishnu sometimes takes physical form to fight evil.
