Matthew 10:29-31
- believing that she is a good person, wife, mother, friend
- believing that other people think that about her

but the Lord determines his steps.

Matt’s leadership
Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave– just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:25-28
- uses his leadership ability to help others
- takes on the attitude of service (not authority)
- that he doesn’t let any bad decisions hurt his credibility as a leader; morality, integrity, honor
- that he lives a life worthy of the gifts he has been given

- internal motivation and direction

Megan’s choices
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
- making the right, godly choices and not necessarily the popular one
- not getting swept along by the culture

Excella’s growth

Excella as a platform
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
