When merging, how much space to leave between you and car in front of yoi?
Three seconds
When exiting a highway, when to start signaling?
400 ft before exit (approx 5 seconds)
When entering traffic from a full stop, you need a space that is:
A) for city streets - 150 ft (half a city block)
B) for freeway - 300 ft (full city block)
How much space do you need to safely pass if there’s a hill or curve
The curve or hill should be at least 1/3 mile ahead
When to NOT pass:
A) within 100 ft of an intersection, bridge, tunnel, railroad crossing, or other hazardous area
B) approaching a hill or curve and cannot see if other traffic approaching
