1)measure 50cm^cubed of copper chloride in a beaker
2)place a plastic Petri dish onto the beaker -should have 2 holes
3)put a carbon graphite rod into each hole - electrodes
4)the electrodes are unreactive as carbon graphite is unreacitbe
5)they can’t touch each other as it would form a short circuit
6)attack crocodile leads to the rods and connect the rods to a terminal of a low voltage power supply
7)select 4v on the power supply and switch it on
8)cathode-copper discharge
9)anode- methane gas
