Q

HOW CAN YOU INVESTIGATE HOW CHANGES IN CONCENTRATION AFFECT THE RATE OF REACTUION

A

If a reaction produce s gas… you can collect the gas and then measurw the volume given off at time intervals(collect the gas in a gas syringe)

Q

How can you measure the decreasingf light passing through solution?

A
  • You measure how long it takes you until you look through the solution and can no longer see the cross
  • you can then use this to measure the rate at which the precipitate is forming in the reaction

Q

Stages of detecting dyes in food colouring

A
  • draw a pencil line near the bottom of a sheet of chromatography paper
  • use a capillary tube to dab a spot of the soltuion on the pencil line
  • stand the paper in the solvent at the bottom of the beaker with the line above the solvent
  • allow the solvent to travel up the paper and removing the paper before the solvent reaches the top and make the colvent from on the paper
