Placement of needles and ion pumping cords
- Needle the point receiving the positive polarity (red) first
- Needle the point receiving the negative polarity (black) second
- Needle the same points on the opposite side of the body
- Place the red clip on the positive polarity
- Place the black clip on the negative polarity
- Repeat on the opposite side of the body
Removal of needles and ion pumping cords
- Remove the positive polarity (red) first
- Then remove the black clip
- Do the same on the opposite side of the body
- Remove the needle that received the red clip
- Remove the needle that received the black clip
- Repeat on the opposite side of the body
- EV’s always: first in, first out
Four Gates Treatment Points
LV3 (red). LI4 (black) - bilateral
Back Shu points: BL18, BL25
Four Gates primary signs
Bilateral subcostal tension
Bilateral rectus abdominus tension
Four Gates Mu Points/ Confirming Points
LV14, ST27
Ren with 4 Gates Treatment points
Left: LU7 (red), Right: KD 6 (black)
Left: LV3 (red), Right: LI4 (black)
*cords cross- both red clips are on the left, treat one EV at a time
Back shu’s: BL13, BL23, BL18, BL25 (choose 2 based on palpation)

Tension along the Ren Mai, lower left quadrant reflex are, Bilateral subcostal tension, ASIS on either side
Ren with 4 gates Mu points/confirming signs

*palpate huato’s and Okyu tender points

Yin Qiao Ren Mai (Ren line and ASIS) and a MC of back pain

lower abdominals weak, flaccid abdominal muscles
