Practical infared Flashcards
What do we use in emission practical?
use a Leila’s cube to see how much infared is emitted by different surfaces.
What are the four surfaces of the Leila’s cube?
shiny metallic
white
shiny black
matte black
What are the steps of the emission practical?
fill Leila’s cube with hot water
point infared dectector at each surface to see how much infared is emitted.
keep same distance between infared detector and leila’s cube ( makes measurements repetable)
Which surface emitts the most to least infared?
most—-least

What happens if you do not have a infered detector?
use themometer with bulb painted black.
resolution is less than infared detector. - may not be able to detect large difference between detectors.
