STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Refers to a set of experience like coping with stress, the life of senior high school student
CENTRAL PHENOMENON
Refers to the people who have the experience about the phenomenon
RESPONDENTS
Refers to what the study would like to do with phenomenon
INTENT OF THE STUDY
Two types of research questions
CENTRAL QUESTION
SUB-QUESTIONS
General question that covers technically the whole experience of the phenomenon.
CENTRAL QUESTION
This covers the specific aspects of the phenomenon. That will capture the nuance of the experience which will make the central question specific
SUB-QUESTIONS
Refers to the natural environment of the respondents
RESEARCH SITE
Is the process of compiling,classifying, and evacuating what other researcher have written on a certain topic.
LITERATURE REVIEW
It can be a partial component of research undertaking, but it can also stand as lone review of writing on certain subject
LITERATURE REVIEW
- it is the researcher’s priority to enrich his or her work by reading literature containing important data relative to his problem in order to fully comprehend the variables being studied. The library is a good source for reference materials such as journals, textbooks, reference books, abstracts of theses, dissertations, and computers with Internet access
FINDING RELEVANT MATERIAL’S
The researcher must thoroughly critique the contents of the materials. Involves asking questions.
ACTUAL READING
Saves time and effort. Put only the important data in your own words. Also facilitates the consolidation of the literature gathered.
NOTE - TAKING
Restates another’s idea which involves putting passage from a source into your own words which must still be attributed to the original author.
PARAPHRASE
Is used to cite information that you have taken from another source and used in your paper
