Aim Of Woodrow Wilson?
To establish Everlasting peace through the league of nations and his 14 points. He wanted to be just and fair while punishing Germany and the other countries.
To what extent did he (US) achieve it?
He received self-determination and the league of nations, He was unhappy as his 14 points weren’t acted upon and the senate refused to sign the treaty and refused to join the league of nations.
Aim of David Llyod George?
Llyod George aimed to increase Britains trade,sea power and colonies,he didn’t want to punish Germany as harshly because Germany was the their second biggest trade partner and weaking Germany’s econoy would also affect Britian’s trade.But again he wanted to keep his promise to make germany pay to which he promised to his nation.
To what extent did he (UK) achieve it?
Llyod George was happy with the overseas colonies he received and also was happy with the german navy helping the Britian sea powers but was unhappy with the terms of the treaty being too harsh.
Aim of Georges Clemenceau?
Clemenceau wanted revenge. He wanted to humiliate and punish the Germans as a revenge on how Germany had tortured them in the previous years.Clemenceau wanted to weaken Germany economically and physically so they wont have the power to inavde or attack France ever again.
To what extent did he (France) achieve this?
Clemenceau was happy with the harsh terms included in the treaty specifically the reperations as it decreased Germany’s economical strenth while increasing the french wealth.He was also happy with rhineland being demilitarized as now Rhineland wont be able to attack or invade Germany. But he was still thought that the terms werent harsh enough.
Why Versailles was choesn to sign the treaty?
Clemenceau insisted to sign the treaty at the same place where the French were humiliated and where Bismarck was formed in 1871.
Why were the German unhappy?
The Germans were unhappy as-
- They had to take the complete blame for WW1
- They lost industrial territories thta made them economically weak and the treaty still needed them to pay high repearations.
- They had no say in teh treaty.
- Their army was reduced to 100,000 menthis term was enforced so that Germany wouldnt invade or attack any other countries but then they felt that they wouldn’t be able to defend themselves if they were atacked or invaded.

It was established on November 27, 1919

Orlando wanted the large territorial rewards promised for them if they joined the alliance.

It was given to Bulgaria.

Yugoslavia, Greece, and Romania.

100 million pounds and army was reduced to 20,000 armed forces.
