It allows you to fly in PIC in a non commercial environment

How many flight hours do you need for a PPL?
A
45 hours minimum
* 25 hours of dual flight
* 10 hours of supervised solo flight
* 5 hours of sim or flight
* cross country flight of 270km (150nm) with 2 full stops at different aerodromes

- Must be older than 17 years old
- Must hold a Class 2 Medical
