39
Go around procedure acronym
P - Power (Full) A - Attitude (55kts) F - Flaps (Flaps 20) P - Positive rate of climb (Flaps 10, then flaps clean)
40
Go around procedure
Power: Full power Positive Rate of Climb: Confirm a positive rate of climb by checking the vertical speed indicator (VSI) and altimeter. Flaps: First Increment: If full flaps are extended (30 degrees), immediately retract the flaps to 20 degrees to reduce drag and increase climb performance. Second Increment: Once a positive rate of climb is established and you have a safe altitude (usually around 200 feet AGL or above obstacles), retract the flaps to 10 degrees. Final Retraction: Continue climbing to a safe altitude, and when the aircraft is stable and the climb rate is assured, retract the remaining flaps fully.
