If there are no winners in the electoral college. the house elects the president from the top 3 vote getters and the senate the Vice president from the top 2.

remove government officials for treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors

The house impeaches
A
a majority vote and the senate tries the case and can convict and remove from office by a vote of 2/3 of senators present. When the president is on trial, the chief justice presides. Once convicted the person cannot hold office again.
