Also called Peak Load

Greatest demand of load on the power station during a given period

Co F = 1/Div F
Ratio of average load to the maximum demand during a given period
Load Factor (LF)
LF = AL/MD = TEP/(MD x Sr)
Ratio of actual energy produced to the maximum possible energy that could have been produced during a given period.
Capacity Factor (CF)
CF = TEP/(IC x Pr)
Ability to carry load under condition specified by the manufacturer
Name Plate or Capacity Rating
Maximum output of equipment obtained by test under specific operating condition (not specified by manufacturer)
Capability Rating
Ratio of the energy generated to the product of plant capacity and the number of hours for which the plant was in operation

PF = TEP / (IC x Sr)
Ratio of maximum demand to the generator capacity
Utilization Factor (UF)
UF = MD / IC
Ratio of the average load for a given period to the operating capacity in actual service (for multi-set plant)
Operating Plant Factor (OPF)
OPF = TEP / (OPC x Sr)
Ratio of the Average load for a given period of the time to the average of daily maximum demand during the same period (usually 30 day period)

OLF = TEP / (30)(24)
