He gradually undermines Ralph’s authority by appealing to the boys’ instincts, offering meat, and fuelling the fear of the beast.

Jack uses fear of the beast to manipulate and control the boys, making them dependent on him for protection.
How is piggy’s power different to the rest of the boys
His power is centred around intellect but is marginalised by his physical appearance and strength

Control of the fire represents control over rescue and survival, shifting power dynamics in the novel.
What does Roger’s increasing violence say about power on the island
It shows that without rules and order, power can become as powerful tyrannical weapon and Roger and others can dip into they’re psychopathic side and use it to injure and kill people
