Lack of food , water , shelter , clothing etc
What is poverty
Where people are unable to provide basic necessities to their life

Material like income , necessities etc and non material like values , community etc

Ensure welfare of the people
2 traditional approaches to development
Former would be socialist n latter will be capitalist
Why should there be a peoples participation
BCS of it can make decisions making process more easier n faster
Mainly what was focused before 1990 n after 1990s
Before 1990s government used to be concern with material aspects but after it it also concerns the non material aspects like equality , participation , sustainability etc
