Poverty ACC Flashcards
What is Poverty?
Poverty is the result of inequality.
Poverty is the result of how society is organised, generally through political
leadership and the social schisms created.
Poverty is not a misfortune, poverty is an injustice.
Poverty is systemic, political, degrading and often dehumanising.
Many people would agree that we all have a role to play to eradicating
poverty and bringing about a fairer society.
What are the key arguments/ideas?
