Inhibits sodium channels in the distal convoluted tubule.
Weak diuretics - typically used as an adjunct to Loop/Thiazide diuretics.

Given with thiazide or loop diuretics as a more effective alternative to potassium supplements.
Preferred choice to counteract hypokalaemia
