Post-operative XTN advice

With post-operative XTN, what care should be taken with hot food/drink?

Answer 1

• be aware of areas that are numb (usually takes between 2-4hrs to wear off)
• some tingling during recovery is normal - may be present for a week or two
• take care of biting during this period
• if numbness persists for more than a few weeks contact the LDI

Why should you avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24hrs?
