The Provisional Governments successes

A

Trade unions were recognised
8 hour working day for industrial workers
Okhrana was abolished
Freedom of speech, assembly and the press was introduced.
Universal suffrage was announced (right to vote for all- sort of).
Political prisoners were freed.
Commitment was made to convene a popularly elected constituent assembly.

The Provisional Governments Failures

A

The PG did little to help the peasants (most of the population).
Peasants main concerns were food, land, war, and fuel.
The PG also unwilling to convene elections, because they wanted to make a way for them to be fair but in doing this they missed the chance to consolidate their power.
Because of this they lost their support of the people.
