  1. IDENTIFY TENDER POINT IN MM
  2. IDENTIFY BASELINE OF PAIN (10/10)
  3. MOVE JJ TO SLACKENED POSITION SO PAIN DECREASES TO 2/10
  4. TAKE PRESSURE OFF, MAINTAIN CONTACT (to retest)
  5. HOLD 30 SECONDS, STATE THAT YOU WOULD HOLD FOR 90 SECONDS IN REAL LIFE
  6. RETURN PATIENT TO INITIAL RESTING POSITION
  7. RE-ENGAGE TENDER POINT TO ASSESS FOR DIMINISHED PAIN, STATE YOU’RE LOOKING FOR THE PAIN TO DECREASE
