What is Medieval de Ourem?
it is a Vinho Palhete in which 80% Fernao Pires and 20% Trincadeira are fermented separately at first and then combined with the skins for the last few days of fermentation. The result is a light red, simialr in color to Clarete. This was a style taught by the Cistercians in the 12th century.
