Steps to preparation of veneer

A
  1. Facial depth cuts
  2. Gingival margin / connect depth cuts
  3. Incisal reduction
  4. Interproximal extensions (elbow)
  5. Round all angles
  6. Verify path of insertion / draw
  7. Make sure margins are adequately tucked into inter proximal regions
  8. Existing restorations removed/incorporated
  9. Larger diastema require further extension of prep in apical and lingual directions for proper contours
  10. Use silicone putty matrices to verify reduction

  1. Etch a mid-facial spot
  2. LC bond only there

  1. Wash out try-in paste for 15 sec
  2. Dry thoroughly, etch intaglio with HF
  3. Clean surface w/ 35% phosphoric acid
  4. Rinse thoroughly and dry
  5. Apply silane coupling agent (air dry)

Steps to cement veneer (7)

A
  1. Place cement in veneer and seat
  2. Remove gross uncured cement with micro brush
  3. Spot cure f/l for 2 seconds or as directed
  4. Remove partially cured cement
  5. LC all surfaces 40 seconds
  6. Finish margins with #12 blade, scales, micro diamonds, polishers
