Large number of over 85’s
Average annual income:in 2009=£46415
Over 4 times that of Canning Town.

Richmond Upon Thames:

A

Highly paid, only 2.9% of adults have no/little qualifications.
Riverside pubs attract crowds on sunny days and warm summer evenings.
Low fertility rate.
Least ethically diverse population in London.
In 2001: minority groups compromised just 9% of the boroughs population.
Large Georgian and Victorian houses occupy the roads leading away from the river up to Richmond Hill. Some of London’s most expensive house prices are, in 2010 =highest in London.

Causes :
Economy of country
The population of the country has risen to approximately 80 million since 1985, the rate of crop production per capita.
The great Rift Valley, an intersection of three tectonic plates partly under Ethiopia.
Ethiopia is subject to frequent earthquakes, droughts and volcanic eruptions.
Unstable rainfall.
Since the drought in 1984, Ethiopia hasn’t been able to produce sufficient food for themselves . About 3 generations ago, Ethiopia was 50% Forrest.

In the 1984 famine,1 person died every 20 min sue to undernourishment. During the 2000 famine, 95% of the livestock had been killed either due to the drought or by herdsmen to feed families.
