Population
How many people live somewhere. (New Zealand has a population of 5 million)
Pull Factors
Factors that attract people to a country, region, religion, organisation ect.
Population Distribution
Where do people live in an area? Local, regional and global
Moderate population density
A moderate population density is somewhere in the. middle. These countries have 15 to 150 people per square metre.
Sparse populated
Sparsely populated means an area that contains few people. Areas are usually sparsely populated due to physical and human factors.
Densely populated
A hight population density implies that the population Is high relative to the size of the country
Location factors
Many important geographical factors involved in the location of individual industries are of relative significance. eg, availability of raw materials, power resources, water labour, markets and the transport facilities.
Natural/Physical location factors
What natural resources and advantages or disadvantages are there in this location.
Cultural location factors
The set of beliefs, moral values, traditions, language and laws held in common by a nation, a community or other defined group of people
Push factors
Influencing factors that motivates a person to leave a country, region, religion, organisation ect.
Obstacles
A thing that blocks one’s way or prevent it’s progress
Rural
Country, living out of town
Urban
An urban area is the region surrounding a city. Communities where people live outside cities are called suburban.
