Why are fewer babies being born?
- more women go to work
- educated women choosing careers
- protection
- better health care so don’t have to enlarge families
What does older people living longer mean?
- increased demand for health and social care
- becomes increasingly difficult for government to provide satisfactory pensions
What does fewer babies being born mean?
- less need for schools and school teachers
- industries that provide poor children may suffer
- companies may have difficulties recruiting youthful workers
