Plenty of jobs
Natural Resources

Human and Physical
List five reasons for Sparsely Populated areas
Temperature
Steep hills
Poor soil
Dense forest
Poor Water/Food supply
Poor transport
Small amount of natural resources
not many jobs
Migration
Movement from one place to another
Push Factor

LIC
Low income country-a poor country.
HIC
High income country-richer country like US or UK
Why is population Increasing (2)
More people are born than people are dying. This is partly due to the fact we are now living longer and also birth deaths are much lower due to technology
Population Structure (5)
The population structure is the amount of people at certain ages. There are three main groups-Young dependents (0-15), Economically active (16-65) and Elderly dependents (65+). LIC’s tend to have more of the first since more babies and born and there is a generally a lower life expectancy.
Settlement
A settlement is a place where people live
There are three main types of settlements. List them and then Explain them (3)
Nucleated, Linear, Disperse-A nucleated settlement is a settlement that revolves around a central location. A dispersed settlement is a scattered pattern of houses in an area. A linear settlement is a settlement that is formed along a long line
