Q
Impact of humanising the role of the Pope
A
- Through his humility in visiting Regina Coeli, PJXXIII inspired young men to follow his example and to choose a religious life.
- Through his visits to those on the fringes of society, he
was seen as a father figure for all men and women and this brought him closer to the ordinary people, which was something that many popes in the past failed to achieve. - “anybody can be Pope, the proof of this is that I have
become one.”

Q
Instigation of Second Vatican Council
A
- Change the language of (Catholic) mass to the local vernacular
- ## Allowed lay people to distribute the Eucharist and the Priests to face the congregation. This approach was more appealing to the people of the time and remains appealing to Catholics today.
