Key Points for Amorolfine Nail Lacquer?
Limited to Max 2 infected nails
Can take 9 - 12 months = toe nails OR 6 months = Finger nails
File down affected nails as treating (NO varnish/cosmetics)
18 years and over
REFER = Pregnant/BF, immunocompromised, CVS issues and if > 2 nails
AVOID = exposure to warm damp conditions, occlusive footwear, damaging nail
Key Points for Chloramphenicol Eye Drops/Ointment?
Aged 2 +
AVOID = pregnant/BF, hypersensitivity and Bone or blood disorders
MAX = 5 days (refer if no improvement or worsens w/i 2 days)
NO contacts whilst infected or 24hrs after treatment (replace all previous materials)
REFER GP = Eye pain, swelling, suspected foreign body in eye, glaucoma, recent eye infection, viral infection
A&E referral = Severe sbx, cloudy eye, eyebrow pain, vision affected, photophobia, sig eye pain, eye/head injury, eye surgery/laser treatment w/i 6 months
