What is aetiology of polyhydramnios?

A

Idiopathic
Maternal disorders - established and gestational DM, renal failure
Twins - particularly TTTS
Fetal anomaly - particularly upper GI obstructions or inability to swallow, chest abnormalities, myotonic dystrophy
