Take away the number of outside degrees from 180 degrees

It means all the lengths are equal and you can have equilateral triangles in the polygon by connecting opposite corners

Draw inside a circle
What does describe mean?
It means draw outside a circle
What do you use to draw an octagon?
A protractor, a 45 degrees set square and a compass
How many degrees does an octagon have on the inside and the outside?
An octagon has 40 degrees on the inside and 140 degrees on the outside
How many degrees does a pentagon have on the inside and the outside?
A pentagon has 72 degrees on the inside and 108 degrees on the outside
What do you use to draw a pentagon?
A protractor and a compass
How do you construct a regular octagon in a square?
Take distance from square to centre point and draw arc. Repeat.
