What does the Presbytery do?
Transitions a church plant into a congregation within ECO
What is the purpose of the congregation?
- Grow into missional disciples
- Fulfill God’s purpose in our natural environments (where we live, work, and play)
What are the requirements needed to be an elder?
- Have a deep and vibrant relationship with God
- Spiritual maturity
- Understand the totality of Scripture
- Establish believers even more deeply into the life of faith
What is the purpose of the Presbytery?
- Transition church plant into congregation within ECO
- Settle differences between congregation and pastor
- Elect officers to serve on the governing Council
- Vote on amendments
- Change bylaws

Egalitarian (both men & women serve in church)

What is the Presbytery?
regional body (a collection of 10 to 20 churches)
How do we define the Presbyterian Church?
Spiritually mature people who make higher level decisions together
