US court of appeals. (CR)

A

Each district court reports to an appellate court. You get an automatic appeal tothe court of appeals. All Districts Courts in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi report to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, which sits in New Orleans. District courts are bound by the decisions of the Appellatecourt to which it reports; decisions of other Appellate courts (the ones a district court doesn’t report to)are considered persuasive authority - they can use it for guidance but they are not bound
