A
  • lack of funding
  • electoral system discriminates
  • lack media exposure (strong leader helps, Caroline Lucas and Farage)
  • Lack orginisation in communities (need to win in local elections first, build up grass root support. Populist like UKIP can bypass this)
  • people see them as a wasted vote due to to FPTP
