- us isolationism lead to higher tarrifs and + german sanctions
- german exports back to 1923 levels of 10 bil marks by 1926 - 12 billion
- 1929 - exports at 34% hgiher than 1023

- 1920’s between 1/2 and 1/4 of all workers were farmers
- pres hindenburg landowner so was able to block laws ie. 1918 reichs law of settlement to redistrib land to poor
- wealthy ppl were able to push for higher subsidies

- 1913 - the lowest tax bracket was 47%
- 1926 it was 62%
