Authority and Jurisdiction: members of the Florida Highway Patrol are designated law enforcement officers and conservators of the peace, whose jurisdiction extends throughout the state of Florida, under the provisions of Section 321.05, Florida Statutes

It is the policy of the Florida Highway Patrol to provide its employees with a Code of Ethics to assist them in making ethical decisions and judgements. Section 112.313, Florida Statutes shall serve as the Code of Ethics for all Florida Highway Patrol employees

It is the policy of the Florida Highway Patrol to ensure that each sworn member is fully cognizant of his/her obligations to the Department/Division, to the profession in which the member has elected to serve and to the citizens of the State of Florida. Regulations delineated herein will govern the activities of sworn members of the Division, both on and off duty.
