Explains who is telling a story from what perspective something is being told
First Person Point of View
The narrator tells the story from his/her own point of view. Pronouns: I, me, we, my, us.
Second Person Point of View
Gives instructions or directions about HOW TO do something. Pronouns: you, your.
Third Person Objective Point of View
Telling a story about someone else with no emotions, thoughts, or feelings involved. Pronouns: he, she, him, her, they, them, it.
Third Person Limited Point of View
Telling a story about someone else with only ONE character’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions being shared. Pronouns: he, she, him, his, her, they, them, it.
Third Person Omniscient Point of View
Telling a story about someone else that shows MORE THAN ONE character’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions being shared. Pronouns: he, she, him, his, her, himself, herself, they, them, it.
