First person
Narrator is a character in the story;uses the word “I” to tell a story; shows only the narrators perspective (a person’s feelings or thoughts of a situation)
Third Person Limited
The narrator knows only the thoughts and feelings of a single character. The narrator uses the words he or she to tell the story.
Point of View
The position from which a narrator tells a story
Third Person Omniscient
The narrator know all the thoughts and feelings of each character.
Third person objective
The narrator tells the story without knowing the thoughts and feelings of the characters. They tell the story as it appears to someone looking down at what is happening.
What is an unreliable narrator?
A narrator that may not know all the thoughts and feelings of the characters. They only know one perspective.
Second Point of View
The narrator uses the word “you” when telling the story. This places the reader in the story.
Perspective
A persons viewpoint, spin, belief…
How is perspective different than Point of View?
Perspective means how someone understands what is happening.. Perspective is a little different for everyone. One cannot see or know how another person is feeling or what he is thinking.
