A
Changes in a single base in DNA.

What is a missense mutation?
A
A base change which causes a change in the amino acid sequence, changing the protein function.

A
Produces a premature stop codon which changes the length of the polypeptide chain, and may affect the protein’s function.

No change in the sequence due to the degeneracy of the genetic code, having no effect on protein function.
