What is monostitch?
A poem which consists of a single line
What is a couplet?
A pair of consecutive lines of poetry that create a complete thought or idea
What is a tercet?
A stanza that only contains 3 lines
What is a quatrain?
A stanza that contains four rhymed lines
What is a quintet?
A poem or stanza composed of five lines
What is a sestet?
Six lines of poetry forming a stanza or a complete poem
What is a septet?
A stanza that consists of seven lines
What is an end-stopped line?
A line containing a complete phrase / sentence ending with punctuation
What is a medial caesura?
Punctuation that splits a line in half
What is a terminal caesura?
Punctuation near / at the end of the line
What is enjambment?
A continuation of a sentence from one line of poetry to the next
What is an anaphora?
Repetition where lines begin with the same words
What is chremamorphism?
Giving a human the qualities of an inanimate object
What is zoomorphism?
Giving an animal the qualities of a human
What is an intertextual allusion?
The connection between two or more pieces of media
