What is the poet talking about when he says “till a’ the seas gang dry”?
He would wait until the seas go dry except the sea can’t really go dry. So he would have to wait an insanely long time. He is just talking about how long he would wait.
How do we know that Robert Burns is scottish?
He uses a scottish word and the word is “Bonny lass” which means pretty person and it’s a commonly used scottish word.
What does the rose symbolise?
It symbolises his love for the girl and how much he cares for her.

He creates an image in our mind that he would cross an ocean or walk a thousand miles if he had to, to finally get to the person he truly loves.
