Is a figure of speech that describes an object or action in a way that isn’t litrually true. Describing something by saying that it is something else.A metaphor is saying that something is something.

The tone is the attitude that the author is expressing to the subject.The tonal shift is a change in the tone

Is a patteren of sounds

A word that sounds like what it means for e.g. crash bang buzz
Slang
Informal often used more when speaking than in writing e.g.That is trash
Colliqual language
Informal language often used in specific geographical areas e.g.soccer in america football in uk
Nonsensical language
Words that have no meaning,nonsense e.g.blah,blah,blah
