when two or more words start with the same letter sound in a line
alliteration

Consonance
The pattern of rhyming in the poem based on the last word in each line.

A poem which does not follow any rules but focuses more on describing and scene or idea

A three- line nature poem with a 5-7-5 syllable pattern. does not rhyme
Haiku
The way a poem is laid out on the page, the rhyme scene and rhyme of the poem, along with a set of rules each specific type of poem must follow.

Comparing two things without using like or as

Giving non human like thing human qualities.
Personification
An extreme exaggeration

A refernce to a famous book, flim, poem
Allusion
Using description words and phrases to create a picture in the readers mind.
