The repeat sound pattern normally at the end of each line. can be within lines (internal rhyme). We use the abcd code.

A
rhyming in couples/twos/pairs. Often at the end of a sonet (AABB)

The pace and beat of a poem.

A 14 line poem, often about love. Ends with a rhyming couplet.

A
free flowing poem. no set rhythm, no set rhyme scheme.

A dramatic pause midline created by a full stop, ellipsis or colon.
